Village Hall

Approximately 150 people attended the meeting held at Rocklands Village Hall.

Dave Jones gave a very rousing speech on the importance of the pub within rural communities.
Philip Dingle presented the break-even business case (this can be found on the "Business Plan" tab).
Jonathan Graham announced that the £5k cap for investors has been removed as the cooperative structure now being proposed means we don’t need it, and that the price we want to pay for the White Hart is in the region of £250k +/- 10%

January 2012

Hello Everyone

Welcome to the latest news on the campaign to save the Rocklands White Hart as a pub for the community.

In the light of feedback we’ve received via email and via Facebook ( The Rocklands White Hart Community group) to our previously published announcement, we now intend to commission only one valuation and appraisal at this time, from Fleuretts. This is the most expensive of the originally quoted 3 valuations, and will include a detailed report on what could be expected from a Tenant as well as a valuation of the pub and an overall assessment of the viability of the pub. Fleuretts are also the valuers normally used by the Councils for licensed premises. We only need a few hundred pounds more so please, if you haven’t contributed to the valuation fund and are prepared to ‘put your money where your mouth is’ so to speak, please drop cash or a cheque (payable to Rocklands White Hart Community Association) into the Rocklands Village Stores

Are you Inn-volved?
